I charge a nominal fee for supplies such as batting, thread, disappearing ink, etc…
I charge half a cent per square inch for batting, which mostly covers my cost of the batting.
Please include a square backing with at least 4 inches overage. A small fee will be charged for any squaring or construction of backing that I end up doing. And another fee for squaring the completed quilt (this service is only offered upon request of client).
Client is also responsible for cost of return shipping.
Some things to consider when deciding to hire me.
* 8-10 month turn-around time. There’s always the possibility I could have the quilt finished sooner.
* I do not bury threads.
*I usually use a single color thread throughout (one that blends well with all fabrics) unless matching thread is requested or if I feel matching thread would be a better choice.
*When selecting a backing please know I mostly use white pre-wound bobbin thread.
*I discourage using low quality/cheap fabrics/batiks for backings. They can sometimes interfere with tension. A good quality 100% cotton backing is preferred and usually offers the best results.
